Philadelphia and the countryside have a long history of making everyone feel welcome and free. In 2003, the Philadelphia Gay Tourism Caucus and the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation launched the “Get Your History Straight and Your Nightlife Gay” campaign. This award-winning campaign marked the beginning of the PGTC’s efforts to make Philadelphia a gay-friendly tourist destination.
